This was led by the Governor's wife, Madame Dupleix & the priest of Karaikal, Coeurdoux. The Immaculate Conception Cathedral was built on top.

A good test of character would be asking for reparations & seeing the reaction. Maybe even something as simple as requesting a Vedapureeshwarar temple replica in France as atonement. Or even restoring Notre Dame as a place of worship to the excavated Vulcan & old religion deities to atone for their own historical persections.
