When Al Khwarizmi wrote books on mathematics, he did not forget to credit his source, the Hindus. He named his book on calculations as Hisab -Al-Hind ("calculations of India"). He named his book on astronomy as "Jiz Al Sind Hind" (astronomical tables of Sind and Hind)
Birch bark manuscripts dating back to the 3rd century CE which explore Algebra. This document on mathematics has been recovered from Bakhshali(Mardan,Pakistan),now a stronghold of Taliban.
